2022 - The Year of Coming Together Once Again

In 2022, POIC + RAHS solidified its role as a leader of change in the community. Coming out of the grief and loss experienced during the pandemic, we focused on healing and celebrating our moments of reunion. We embraced the power and joy of coming together again as a community.

  • The annual Work Connections event was revived, back to an in-person gathering this year, highlighting the work training programs at POIC and sharing how we can all support the dreams of future leaders in Portland.

  • 68 Rosemary Anderson students graduated this year! We are so proud of our scholars for overcoming the barriers they face to cross this milestone of success.

  • The POIC Kitchen opened its doors to serve love to all five of our school campuses with delicious, healthy breakfasts and lunches. The CHEF Academy officially began taking applications for its inaugural launch in 2023!

  • For the first time in three years, all POIC + RAHS staff gathered for our annual picnic, reminding us of the need to take a break for joy, laughter, and connection.

  • At The Power to Heal Gala, we shared the impact community violence has had on our students and staff. This year, we expanded our violence prevention and intervention efforts to have a wider reach than ever. The giving at our annual Gala supported our initiatives for a safer Portland, and we cannot thank the community enough for its dedication to public safety.
